Polk Co. Schools issue a statement regarding a gun being brought to school

POLK COUNTY, Tenn. (WDEF) – Polk County Schools issues a statement on Facebook regarding rumors of a student bringing a gun to Polk County High School on Friday.

According to the statement, administration is working to track down the origin of the rumor with law enforcement. They say it is just a rumor.

Extra police officers will be at Polk County High School on Friday and will be checking bags as students enter the school.
