Family Justice Center hosts 10th annual Domestic Violence Awareness Conference
CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (WDEF) – The Family Justice Center is continuing its mission to raise awareness and fight against domestic violence.
On October 24, the center will host its 10th annual Domestic Violence Awareness Conference.
The event will take place from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Family Justice Center in Chattanooga.
This year’s conference will focus on several important themes, including domestic abuse in the workplace and how businesses can keep employees safe.
Executive Director Regina McDevitt said, “We want people who are businesses who are individuals to come down and learn about the dynamics of abuse. One of our focuses for the conference this year is about domestic violence in the workplace, and it is so important for businesses to know how to respond and keep their employees safe and productive, and that is one of the things that we’ll be able to help support within information and resources the day of the conference here.”
Organizers encourage everyone in the community to attend and take advantage of the resources and education available.
