UTC Markets Highlight Campus Community

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (WDEF) – Fresh Produce and Student Creativity Shine at UTC Markets

UTC students and staff got a double dose of community and creativity today as two campus markets took place.

Scrappy’s Market, UTC’s free bi-weekly produce event, returned to Vine Street with fresh fruits and vegetables available to students, faculty, and staff.

The initiative helps support healthy living on campus, with rain locations provided through Mocs Dining social media.

At the same time, a student-run market was set up in front of Founders Hall on Oak Street.

The remainder of Fall 2025 Scrappy’s Market Dates include:

  • Tuesday, October 21 | 2–4 PM
  • Wednesday, November 5 | 2–4 PM
  • Tuesday, November 18 | 2–4 PM

From 2 to 4:30 PM, student vendors showcased homemade treats, jewelry, art, clothing, and other creative goods.

The event gave the campus community a chance to browse, shop, and support local student entrepreneurs.

Together, the two markets highlighted the importance of both wellness and creativity at UTC.
