Chattanooga Pride expecting bigger crowds this year

President of Chattanooga Pride Elle Quesenberry joins News 12’s Amelia Greer to remind the public about festivities supporting our local LGBTQ+ community this weekend.

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (WDEF) – October is LGBTQ+ History Month and to celebrate, Chattanooga is kicking off the first week of October with Chattanooga Pride Festival!

There are a multitude of fun, diverse, and inclusive events that celebrate the LGBTQ+ community, while also educating others on the community.

The big Chattanooga Pride Parade will take place at Ross’s Landing on October 5 with the parade starting at 1 P.M. at the Unum Parking Lot.

This year, with the Knoxville Pride Parade being canceled, Chattanooga can expect our friends from Knoxville to come down and join in on the fun!

All are encouraged to join the parade and support your LGBTQ+ friends, family, and neighbors!
