Nashville (WDEF) – The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation is activating a statewide Blue Alert for the man suspected of shooting a Memphis police officer over the weekend.

29 year-old Tremaine Wilbourn was last seen wearing a blue jersey, black pants and black shoes, driving a Silver Honda Accord with tinted windows.

He also goes by the names of Tremaine Martin and "T-Streetz".

A Blue Alert uses the same infrastructure as an Amber Alert, targeting wanted suspects who present an imminent danger to the public or law enforcement.

It sends automatic emails to all police agencies in the state and posts photos on Traffic signs across Tennessee.

Wilbourn has also been put on the TBI’s Top ten Most Wanted List, with a reward for his capture.
