THP helps keep locals safe in more ways than one

MADISON COUNTY — Officials at the Tennessee Highway Patrol (THP) remind us their officers do more than just write tickets on a busy holiday weekend.

They posted these photos today of a trooper Major helping out a stranded motorist.

He changed their tire on the side of I 40 in Madison County.

Of course, they want us to go slow and put down the cell phones while driving this holiday.

But they say you can also dial 8-4-7 to get highway assistance.

Those numbers spell out “T-H-P.”
