Blood Assurance Offers eGift Card to All Donors

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. — Blood Assurance is offering $25 eGift cards to all donors amid the holiday blood shortage through December 31st.

They say blood donations usually drop during the holidays, however hospital demand rises.

“One donation can help give patients more time with the people they love, including the chance to celebrate another holiday. We are asking all eligible donors to make blood donation part of their holiday plans.”

– Garry Allison, Senior Vice President of Operations for Blood Assurance said.

To be eligible to donate, donors must be at least 17-years-old (16 with parental consent), weigh at least 110 pounds and be in good health, according to Blood Assurance.

Donors should eat and drink water before any donation.
