Gas Prices Fall Across Southeast

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (WDEF) – Drivers across the Southeast are seeing some relief at the pump as gas prices continue to trend downward nationwide.

For the third straight week, the national average price of gasoline has fallen reaching its lowest point in several years. 

Analysts say increased refinery output and growing fuel supplies along with lower crude oil prices are helping push costs down in many states.

States across the Southeast including Tennessee Georgia Alabama South Carolina and others are benefiting from the trend. 

Motorists in the region are seeing cheaper fill-ups compared to recent months providing welcome relief ahead of the busy holiday travel season.

Industry experts say gas prices could continue to ease through the end of the year if production remains strong and demand stays steady. 

While prices can fluctuate, the current trend points to continued savings for drivers throughout the Southeast.
