Two more candidates announce for race to replace Marjorie Taylor Greene in Congress
Regan Box and Clay Fuller are both Republicans
(WDEF) – Two more candidates are stepping forward to replace Marjorie Taylor Greene in Congress.
Reagan Box has ended her run for the U-S Senate with the intention of running for Greene’s seat instead.
The Republican is from Armuchee, Georgia but was born in East Ridge.
And Clayton Fuller is a former District Attorney for northwest Georgia who lost a previous bid against Greene in 2020.
So far, almost two dozen candidates have said they are interested in running even though qualifying hasn’t happened yet.
There will be two races next year for the northwest Georgia seat.
The first will be a special election to find a replacement during 2025 and the second is the regularly scheduled race next November.
The special election will lump all candidates into one pool, regardless of party.
