One officer injured following a shooting and chase to Sequatchie County

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (WDEF) – Late Sunday night , multiple law enforcement agencies were in Sequatchie County after a suspect shot a Chattanooga PD officer at the 5500 block of Highway 153 in Hixson at around 11:30 PM.
The suspect then fled in the officer’s vehicle into Sequatchie County before ultimately crashing at the East Valley Road intersection.
The suspect was apprehended and taken into custody after fleeing on foot.
One officer was injured in the whole incident and is being treated at a local hospital.
The TBI will be investigating this incident.
