Human remains found in Parkstown Community near Etowah

ETOWAH, Tennessee (WDEF) – The TBI is investigating the discovery of human remains Tuesday near Etowah.

The McMinn County Sheriff’s Office says they were found in a wooded area near the Parkstown Community.

Authorities had been looking for a local man who had left his home in the area and not returned.

But the remains have not been identified at this point.

“Anytime someone is found like this, we want to be conscious of the family members and friends who might be affected,” added Sheriff Guy. “They are certainly in our prayers.”
