Car Goes Over Embankment on Cummings Highway

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (WDEF) -A driver escaped with minor injuries after a vehicle went over an embankment on Cummings Highway Saturday afternoon.

The crash happened just before 4 p.m. on July 11 in the 1900 block of Cummings Highway.

According to officials, a passerby leaving Ruby Falls witnessed the crash and called 911. The caller reported that a vehicle had slid off the roadway and down the side of an embankment.

Chattanooga firefighters responded to the scene and helped the driver safely back up the hillside. The driver suffered minor injuries.

The cause of the crash has not been released.
