Georgia lawmakers pass bill banning local governments from forcing you to secure your weapon in your car
ATLANTA (WDEF) – Northwest Georgia Senator Colton Moore says lawmakers have passed his bill protecting gun owners.
It keeps local governments from passing rules to restrict firearms.
Specifically, it is in response to an ordinance in Savannah that requires gun owners to secure their weapon in a vehicle.
Senator Moore calls it a major victory for owners.
“My bill is headed straight to Governor Kemp’s desk for signature, and it’s a massive win for every patriot in Northwest Georgia and across the country who refuses to be disarmed.
No more rogue mayors or city councils turning their towns into anti-2A zones. No more local tyrants chipping away at your God-given right to keep and bear arms. My bill slammed the door shut on every gun-grabber who thought they could sneak around our state laws and infringe on your freedoms.
This is the biggest Second Amendment victory since Constitutional Carry. We stood firm against the RINOs and the radical left, and once again we won.”
