Two-vehicle crash cause vehicles to roll multiple times
CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (WDEF) – Early Sunday evening, first responders responded to a two-vehicle crash on Interstate 75 southbound near the 29-mile marker.
According to the Bradley County EMS, they say a pickup truck with a single adult occupant and an SUV carrying three passengers collided while traveling southbound, causing both vehicles to roll multiple times.
The SUV came to rest on its top.
The interstate closed for a brief time allowing allow multiple agencies to safely manage the scene.
Bradley County EMS’s latest update states that the southbound lane has since reopened, but traffic remains slowed in the area.
They say the driver of the pickup truck and the driver of the SUV were transported to Bradley Medical Center with minor injuries and the two additional occupants of the SUV were evaluated on scene and released.
First responders report that everyone involved was properly restrained by seatbelts, which played a significant role in preventing more serious injuries.
Motorists are asked to continue using caution and remain alert while traveling through the area.
