MLK Youth Leadership Symposium
CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (WDEF) – The MLK Youth Leadership Symposium took place today as part of Martin Luther King Jr. Day observances in Chattanooga.
The Urban League of Greater Chattanooga hosted the event at the Construction Career Center, providing snacks for students who attended.
Students took part in workshops and group activities, including breakout sessions, discussions, and hands-on civic engagement and advocacy activities.
The program was designed to give students opportunities to explore leadership, community involvement, and ways to make a positive impact in their communities.
The symposium brought together youth from multiple schools across the area, giving them a chance to connect with peers, share ideas, and engage with local leaders.
The event was one of several activities held in Chattanooga today to honor Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.’s legacy, including parades, community service projects, and cultural celebrations.
