Chattanooga Housing Authority changes One Westside development plan

CHATTANOOGA (WDEF) – The Chattanooga Housing Authority is making a change in the makeover of College Hill Courts.

The project is part of the One Westside plan.

They are turning College Hill Courts into a new community.

The Courts have been housing residents for eight decades.

The makeover will turn them into mixed-income mixed-use housing, where education, health, recreation and the arts can co-exist.

On Tuesday, the CHA Board approved changes to the People Partner for the Choice Neighborhoods Implementation Grant.

They will now bring the project in house with existing staff and adding some new positions.

CHA officials say the changes won’t interrupt services for residents at College Hill Courts.
