Thomas Blevins Guilty On Child Molestation Charges Involving One Student But Innocent Involving Second Student

Friends and family of Thomas Blevins were left confused and angry Friday.

The former Lake View Middle band director was found guilty of child molestation and enticing a child for indecent purposes.

Final arguments were delivered by both legal teams before noon.
Lawyers for Blevins compared this trial to that of Salem  making multiple references to witches.

The DA went on to reference Churchill and Democracy before pleading with the jury "To not let this happen in our county, in our home, in Catoosa County".

Tears were shed by almost 50 family members and friends from both sides as the mostly female jury made their decision before 4pm.
Blevin’s brother hugged him before the final verdict was read out.

Blevins was found not guilty on all charges relating to a second student.
She came forward in 2014.A previous charge of sexual assault was removed relating to her. On more than one occasion the alleged victims were seen smirking and laughing in court. Blevins cried but remained calm throughout.
More than 20 members of the Blevins family held a prayer circle before the verdict was read out.

Family members tell us they are looking into appealing.
