Research Shows Americans are Admitting to Theft from Self-checkout Machines

New research shows that Americans admit they are stealing more from self-checkout machines.

The study from Lending-Tree says one in four of us now admit that we have stolen at least one item.

That’s double the figure from a couple of years ago.

The research found that people generally take everyday necessities, not luxuries.

They blame inflation.

So stores are now having to figure which cost them more… paying cashiers or losing money to self-checkout thefts.
