Thomas Blevins Refuses To Take The Stand
CATOOSA COUNTY, GA, (WDEF)-"Tomorrow the truth is going to come out".
Family and friends of Thomas Blevins remained optimistic Thursday.
"You happy? Yes".
The jury sat through almost two hours of DVD interviews with two of the alleged victims.
In the first video clip lasting 45 minutes an alleged victim talked of becoming a Facebook friend of Blevins before he began teaching her one and one.
She then discussed with the counselor Rachel Brown at the Child’s Advocacy Center how Blevins forced her to give him oral sex in the band departments storage room.
A second DVD followed where another teen claimed Blevins kissed her and took her bra off during questioning from the same counselor.
Jury members wept and closed their eyes during some of the DVD interviews.
When judge Wood asked Blevins’ legal team to call forward their first witness they chose to go straight to final arguments.
The bemused judge then asked Thomas Blevins directly if he wanted to take the stand to which he answered "No thank you".
"He doesn’t have to justify anything that he hasn’t done."
Closings arguments begin tomorrow morning at 9.
The predominantly female jury were dismissed just after 3pm today.
