Drug Take-Back Program participates in Minority Health Fair

CHATTANOOGA, TN (WDEF) – On Saturday, August 22, 2015, the Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office will participate in the 2015 Southeast Tennessee Health Consortium’s Annual Minority Health Fair from 9:00 am to 2:00 pm at the East Gate Town Center Mall sponsored by the Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc., Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc., and Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. This year’s theme is "Empowering and Educating Minorities to Close the Health Gap."

In an effort to keep prescription drugs from being sold or traded illegally, falling into the wrong hands, or flushed into our community’s water supply, Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office Drug Take-Back personnel will be onsite to safely and responsibly collect used, outdated, or unnecessary prescription medications. This includes pet medication as well.
