One dead after officers responded to a man with a gun
JACKSON, Tenn. (WDEF) – The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation (TBI) is investigating the circumstances leading to an officer-involved shooting that occurred Sunday afternoon in Jackson.
According to the TBI, just before 1:50, officers with the Jackson Police Department responded to the 400 block of Lafayette Street after about a man with a gun.
TBI states that multiple officers fired their weapons, striking the subject.
He was taken to a local hospital where he was pronounced deceased.
None of the officers involved were injured.
This investigation is still ongoing.
