Pet of the Week: Adelaide!

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. — Join us at Prime News at 7 to meet this week’s Pet of the Week: Adelaide!

Adelaide is a 4-year-old, petite girl (just 19 lbs.) with a heart that’s bigger than her past. She was found by a Good Samaritan in extremely rough shape, with significant injuries that showed she had been through something truly traumatic.

Thanks to quick action, she was brought to HES, where officers and our medical team stepped in right away.

Adelaide spent weeks in intensive recovery in foster care, receiving dedicated medical treatment and lots of hands-on support.

Her recovery was nothing short of remarkable. Today, she has healed completely—her wounds are gone, her fur has fully grown back, and she’s ready to start the next chapter of her life.

What’s most amazing is Adelaide herself. Through it all, she remained happy, trusting, and eager for affection.

She’s a friendly, outgoing girl who loves to play and is highly food-motivated (treats are the way to her heart!).

She does well with most other dogs, though she would need a cat-free home.

Adelaide has already survived more than most dogs ever should, but she hasn’t let it dim her spirit.

She’s ready for a loving home where she can finally feel safe, cherished, and spoiled the way she deserves.
