Downtown YMCA Hosts “Superburn” Workout for a Good Cause This Super Bowl Weekend
CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (WDEF) The Downtown Family YMCA is turning up the heat this Super Bowl weekend with its second annual “Superburn” event, a high-intensity, team-based workout designed to get participants moving while supporting a good cause.
Up to 100 participants will take part in a 90-minute workout inside the YMCA’s newly renovated PIT Studio. Competitors will rotate through six exercise stations, each lasting 14 minutes with short breaks in between. Teams of four will track their repetitions at each station, with the team logging the most reps by the end of their session declared the champion.
Kelly Wehman, a group fitness instructor, said participants push themselves to the limit but have fun competing together.
SOT: “By the end of the competition…”
The event isn’t just about fitness. All proceeds from the Superburn will go toward YMCA programs and scholarships, helping more community members access resources, classes, and opportunities.
The YMCA encourages everyone, from competitive athletes to casual fitness enthusiasts, to participate in this unique blend of teamwork, endurance, and community giving.
