Suspect’s whereabouts unknown after vehicle pursuit

CLEVELAND, Tenn. (WDEF) – The Cleveland Police Department has released an update about the vehicle pursuit that took place on Wednesday, February 4, 2026.

According to the Cleveland Police Department the suspect involved has been identified as Thomas Larry Burns.

He was driving a white SUV during the pursuit that began in Bradley County and ended in Polk County.

Burns is currently wanted on multiple felony warrants stemming from the February 4, 2026 incident involving Cleveland police officers and surrounding law enforcement agencies, including: Three counts of Aggravated Assault on Law Enforcement and Felony Evading.

Burns is also wanted on separate felony warrants out of Bradley County for Theft Over $2,500.

Burns’ current whereabouts are unknown.

Police ask if anyone has information regarding the whereabouts of Thomas Larry Burns call 9-1-1 immediately.

They say do not approach Burns.
