Hug-A-Cow Day Brings Families Together in Lafayette
LAFAYETTE, Ga. (WDEF)- Families from across the region gathered at the Walker County Ag Center Saturday for the third annual Hug-A-Cow Day, a fun-filled event celebrating farm life, animals, and community
.
Visitors enjoyed a wide range of activities, including vendors, pony rides, a petting zoo, and the fan-favorite Hug-A-Cow experience, where attendees got up close with gentle Highland cows.
Jonathan Scott, owner of Blessing Creek Farms, said the event is about more than just fun. “One thing is about that we get to tell everybody about God when they come to the farm, and everybody loves it. Everybody smiles, and just something about a cow getting the hug puts a smile on their face,” he said.
With animals, activities, and plenty of happy faces, Hug-A-Cow Day proved to be a hit for all ages, offering families a chance to make memories, meet animals, and enjoy a day full of farm-life experiences.
