Now-former Tellico Plains Officer Charged with Rape, False Reports
A now-former Monroe County police officer has been arrested following an investigation with the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation (TBI).
TBI agents began investigating allegations involving Tellico Plains Police Officer Clayton Foxx in April of 2025.
They say during the investigation, agents learned that Foxx engaged in sexual contact with a minor while on duty.
When questioned about the incident, Foxx provided false information in two separate interviews, the TBI says.
The Monroe County Grand Jury returned indictments, charging Foxx with:
- One count of Official Misconduct
- One count of Statutory Rape
- Two counts of False Reports
They share with assistance from the McMinn County Sheriff’s Office, agents arrested Foxx and transported him to the Monroe County Jail.
He has been booked on a $200,000 bond.
