Fatal motor vehicle accident at intersection of Hwy 53

PICKENS COUNTY, Ga. (WDEF) – On Sunday the Pickens Sheriff’s Office responded to the scene of a fatal motor vehicle accident at the intersection of Hwy 53 and Edwards Road.
According to the Sheriff’s Office, Highway 53 is closed in the immediate area while law enforcement conducts a thorough investigation.
They are asking motorists to avoid the area and seek alternate routes until the roadway is reopened.
