Plans approved to bore tunnel from downtown Nashville to airport
Governor Lee announces that T-DOT and the Federal Highway Administration have approved the plan to bore a tunnel from downtown Nashville to the airport.
The Music City Loop promises to connect air passengers to the downtown music district in just eight minutes.
The Boring Company will drill under state highways so they do not have to get local permits.
The Governor says that the latest step clears the way for construction.
He says the first segment of the Loop will be operating by the end of the year.
