Family Justice Center Plans 2030
CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (WDEF) – The Family Justice Center is planning for 2030, bringing together survivors, partners, and community leaders to envision how the center can better support victims of domestic violence.
At today’s event, participants shared ideas, explored programs, and discussed ways to strengthen services and safety for those affected by domestic violence.
The collaborative session included volunteers, interns, and representatives from law enforcement, mental health organizations, and community agencies.
Founded by Casey Gwinn, the Family Justice Center is part of a national network of 150 centers that have proven to reduce domestic violence homicides.
Executive Director Regina McDevitt emphasized the importance of collaboration with law enforcement and the district attorney’s office to provide wraparound support while holding offenders accountable.
Programs like Camp Hope offer survivors support for mental health and rebuilding confidence, and the center continues to provide one-stop services to help victims access resources efficiently.
Volunteers and interns also learn about the impacts of trauma to better support those they serve.
By sharing ideas and envisioning the Family Justice Center of 2030, participants helped create a roadmap for a safer, more supportive community.
