Ducktown man arrested following narcotics investigation

POLK COUNTY — A man has been arrested following a narcotics investigation in Ducktown.

According to the Polk County Sheriff’s Office (PCSO), the investigation led to the discovery and seizure of several pounds of methamphetamine, over an ounce of fentanyl, alprazolam (Xanax) pills, marijuana, and two firearms.

They say also seized was nearly $10,000 in U.S. currency.

Dewayne Stillwell, 52, was arrested and charged with:

  • Possession of Schedule II (Methamphetamine) for Resale
  • Possession of Schedule II (Fentanyl) for Resale
  • Armed and Dangerous Felonies
  • Unlawful Possession of a Weapon
  • Simple Possession of Schedule IV (Alprazolam)
  • Simple Possession Schedule VI (Marijuana)
  • Drug Paraphernalia

Stillwell is being held at the Polk County Jail on “no bond,” the PCSO says.
