Regional Coin and Currency Show

EAST RIDGE, Tenn. (WDEF) – Coin collectors from across the region attended Camp Jordan Arena this past weekend for a regional coin and currency convention.
The event brought together vendors and hobbyists for three days of buying, selling, and trading coins and other collectibles.
Inside the arena, tables were filled with U.S. coins, world currency, paper bills, and precious metals like gold and silver.
Attendees examined items, compared collections, and worked with dealers to explore the value and history of different pieces.
The show offered opportunities for both experienced collectors and those just starting out.
Katie Williams, who has coordinated the show since 2018, said the event has grown steadily. “I started coordinating this show in 2018 and we averaged about 120 tables and you know it’s going to about 140. I think I’ve used all the tables that Camp Jordan has so I can’t get too much bigger, but but yeah, it’s always it always sells out,” Williams said.
Collectors and dealers came from multiple states, making it a regional draw.
For many, the convention was a chance to explore rare coins, find missing pieces for their collections, and connect with others who share the hobby.
The multi-day format gave attendees flexibility to browse at their own pace and seek out items of interest.
Overall, the convention offered a mix of commerce, education, and community for coin enthusiasts, leaving both vendors and visitors looking forward to the next event.
