Sequatchie County’s biggest fundraiser for local cancer support reached another milestone

SEQUATCHIE COUNTY, Tenn. (WDEF) – Sequatchie County’s biggest annual fundraiser for its local cancer support network has reached another milestone.

This year’s Hee Haw fundraiser raised $45,000 over the course of its three-day run, setting another record for the annual event.

Organizers say the total is expected to grow even more as additional donations are still being counted, including proceeds from the silent auction and fundraising lunches held throughout the community.

The production featured a cast and group of musicians made up of both longtime volunteers and first-time performers.

Every person involved in the show either grew up in Dunlap or currently calls the community home.

Organizers thanked everyone who attended, donated, and volunteered, saying the overwhelming support will help the Sequatchie County Cancer Support Network continue providing assistance to local cancer patients and their families.
