Novonix exploring moving locations for second plant building

Novonix is considering moving locations for building a second plant in Chattanooga.

The company had previously announced plans to build at Enterprise South.

But now a plant next door to their location on Riverfront Parkway has become available.

So they are exploring buying it instead.

The company got considerable tax breaks to bring 500 new jobs to the Enterprise South facility.

If they switch sites, they hope the city and county will simply transfer the tax deal to the new location.

The Australian company makes battery materials here in Chattanooga for the U-S market.
