TDOT addresses ongoing response to chronic Ten Mile flooding

Residents Gather To Petition State For Chronic Flooding Fix In Meigs County

MEIGS COUNTY, Tenn. (WDEF)- We have received a response from TDOT regarding chronic flooding issues in the Meigs County community of Ten Mile.

Residents there say that the main road through town, State Route 304, constantly floods due to drainage issues, leading to threats to businesses and drivers.

TDOT in their statement said:

“TDOT has studied the drainage concerns in this area extensively, and we continue to explore several viable solutions to address the longstanding flooding issues. We are evaluating the options carefully to ensure any improvements are effective, feasible, and coordinated with the surrounding properties. We will share updates as this work progresses.”

This follows many of the residents coming together to sign a petition last Friday to demand action to stop the chronic flooding.
