Pothole repair prompts lane closures on I-24
CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. — The Tennessee Department of Transportation (TDOT) maintenance crews will close the Williams Street on-ramp and the right lane of I-24 West to repair a pothole in the high bridge at mile marker 178.7 on March 19, at 9:30 a.m.
They say drivers are encouraged to use caution as they travel through this area and they should expect significant delays.
Signage will be posted directing drivers through the work zone.
TDOT says this work is weather-dependent. Should inclement weather or unforeseen circumstances cause delays, it will be rescheduled to a later date.
