One teen dead after a homicide on South Germantown Rd

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (WDEF) – The Chattanooga Police Department is investigating a shooting that left a teenager dead and another injured early Sunday morning.

At 2:06 a.m., CPD officers responded to a reported shooting in the zero block of South Germantown Road.

Upon arrival they found two victims with gunshot wounds and both were transported to a local hospital.

One victim was a 16-year-old male who was pronounced dead. The other victim, an 18-year-old male, had non-life-threatening gunshot wounds.

Homicide and Crime Scene Investigators are actively working to develop leads and gather additional evidence.
