Home significantly damaged following fire near Ridgehaven Way and Reed Road

DALTON, Ga. — A home was significantly damaged following a structure fire near Ridgehaven Way and Reed Road on March 23, 2026 around 8 p.m.
Firefighters were met with a 6,000 square foot home with the attached garage fully engulfed in flames.
The structure became fully involved with flames and after battling the blaze for some time, the decision was made to transition from offensive to defensive operations, according to Whitfield County.
Around midnight, the fire was under control.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
No injuries were reported.
