Community baby shower held in Dalton

DALTON, Ga. (WDEF)- Mothers in the Dalton area got to relax a bit Thursday morning.
The Women’s Enrichment Center of Northwest Georgia held their annual community baby shower at Dalton First Baptist Church.
The event connects moms with resources such as diapers, food, and other items they need through donations.
Also, they had a community yoga session and decorated their strollers.
The center says these resources are needed in this time of economic pressure.
Penny Bowen, the center’s community outreach director, said, “We do pregnancy test confirmations, ultrasounds, and all of the baby essentials all completely free of charge. Our goal is to help offset that financial burden and so families feel like they don’t have to walk this road alone and help get them a little bit of support along the way.”
Services at The Women’s Enrichment Center are always free, and donations are welcome.
