Family pet dies in house fire on Huff Avenue SW

A family pet passed away as a result of a house fire on March 26, 2026 on Huff Avenue SW, according to the Cleveland Fire Department (CFD).

Six other fire companies responded to the blaze as well.

CFD says interior crews faced zero-visibility conditions as they located and extinguished the fire.

They say a family pet was located and removed during the primary search, but succumbed to her injuries despite the efforts of Bradley County EMS paramedics.

No other injuries were reported with the blaze.
