Candidate Shawn Harris meets with voters in Ringgold ahead of runoff

RINGGOLD,GA- (WDEF ) – Today Democrat Congressional Candidate, Shawn Harris made a stop in Ringgold this week, connecting with voters ahead of a key election.

Democratic congressional candidate Shawn Harris visited the local coffee shop Book & Barrel, where he shared his viewpoints and spoke directly with community members.

The meet-and-greet gave residents an opportunity to hear from Harris on several issues impacting Georgians, including rising costs and challenges facing farmers.

“Based on everything that’s going on, gas prices out the roof, diesel prices out the roof, our farmers understand,” Harris said. “I’m a farmer… fertilizer is just completely too expensive. What I say to everybody here in this district is, with everything going on, give me a chance, and you’ll see that I’m going to bring home the results between now and November.”

The event drew a crowd as attendees gathered for conversation and a closer look at the candidate’s platform.

The special runoff election is scheduled for April 7th.
