Vanelly Holguin and Stacy Johnson join News 12’s Amelia Greer as Girls Inc. gets ready to host their annual Sapphire Sneaker Gala. La Paz Chattanooga is receiving an advocacy award for their work in the local Latin community.

CHATTANOOG, Tenn. (WDEF) – Girls Inc. and La Paz Chattanooga are working together to help uplift young women and celebrate the women that make our beloved community with the upcoming Sapphire Sneaker Gala.

On May 16, Girls Inc. will be hosting their annual fundraiser, the Sapphire Sneaker Gala, which will fund their mission and help continue another 65 years of work strengthening our community’s youth.

The funds will ensure they continue their after school programs, camps, transportation, healthy meals and more.

They aim to raise $300k this year.
