Learn to stay safe this summer with the Chattanooga Zoo

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (WDEF) – School is nearly out , which is why the Chattanooga Zoo and Children’s Hospital at Erlanger is making sure kids know how to stay safe in all situations with their special “Safe Kids at the Zoo” event.

Several community organizations are coming together for this annual event to teach children how to stay safe at home, on the road, and outside. This includes meeting some first responders during a not-so-scary emergency, so children can relax and know they can always go to police for help.

The organizations will be stationed all around the zoo. The event is free with regular zoo admission.

Additionally, the Chattanooga Zoo is raising money from April 20-26 with a special auction. The auction includes experiences, art, resort stays, and more. The money will go toward building a habitat for their new Southern Pudu.
