Grace Baptist Academy vs. Silverdale Baptist Academy

Chattanooga, TN (WDEF) – Another young rivalry on the schedule Friday night had Grace Academy visiting Silverdale Baptist.

While both rivals may be short on numbers, neither the team would be short on enthusiasm for the annual "Baptist Bowl."

Special socks in this one as both teams showing off their stars and stripes.

It’s ties 7 all when we get there in the first quarter before Hunter Arnold struts past the defense into the end zone to break the tie and put Silverdale on top after the extra point 14 to 7.

But Grace looking to respond, they give it to Jimmy Green on the outside who weaves up field for a 20 yard gain, but they would get called back for holding, but no sweat for Grace.

Jared Thompson finds a wide open Dalton Morrison, and they take that 20 yard gain and double it with this 40 yard play.

Coming off the big play, Silverdale looking for a stop, and they almost have Green, but he keeps fighting and pops lose and scampers down inside the five, and on the next play Thompson would punch it in on the quarterback sneak for 6 points.

After they miss the extra point attempt they would still trail 13 to 14, and it would stay that way until the half. 

In the end, Silverdale would win 20 to 13.
