Schools Highlight Student Success and Future
CLEVELAND, Tenn. (WDEF) – Bradley County Schools highlighted student achievement, safety initiatives, and future growth during its annual State of Schools event held this morning.
Students from across the district took part in the program as schools showcased academic offerings, career and technical education pathways, and student performances designed to highlight opportunities available throughout Bradley County Schools.
The event also recognized district programs that support students beyond the classroom, including the Jewel Awards Program that open up opportunities to connect students with Broadway actors helping build confidence, creativity, and collaboration in fine arts.
A key focus of the presentation was student support and safety. The district announced a $9.5 million school based mental health grant aimed at expanding counseling services for students across campuses.
Linda Cash, Director of Schools for Bradley County also outlined plans to add metal detectors in middle schools and extend weapon detection systems into those campuses as part of ongoing safety efforts.
District leadership and students emphasized continued work to prepare students for life beyond graduation through academic programs, career pathways, and expanded support services across the school system.
