Chattanooga Market hosts Strawberry Festival

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (WDEF) – Today, the Chattanooga Market was buzzing with excitement.

Crowds were able to enjoy live music, a variety of food and local vendors, and of course, strawberries.

What BERRY way to celebrate than with the Strawberry Festival?

Every weekend, starting in late April, the Chattanooga Market offers the community a variety of shopping opportunities, from food to handmade goods.

Two very happy little girls expressed their excitement for the festival, exclaiming, “Happy 2026 Strawberry Festival!”

One of the local merchandise vendors, Tiffany Reid, spoke to us about how much she appreciates the First Horizon Pavilion hosting them.

“It’s incredible. I really love seeing all the community members and getting to talk to them. We have a great community.”

Reid was among the many local vendors in the area, showcasing her work through her business, Broken & Bottled.

“The one thing I want people to take away is that this is something they can make their own. It’s not just what you see is what you get. It becomes their piece of art. I’m just making it for them. That’s what I want them to remember. You can buy one of these, but I’ll make you your own.”

This weekend, the Chattanooga Strawberry Festival gave farmers a chance to sell their locally grown strawberries.

Jonny Hughes, Hughes Family Farm Owner filled News 12 in on the history of Hughes Family Farm.

“My family’s been growing strawberries locally for over 25 years. We know a little bit about strawberries and what we’re doing. We’re probably one of the only local strawberry farms around here.”

One attendee, Johnie Lee, told us he traveled all the way from California.

“This is my first time here. I’ve never seen anything like it before. I’m from California, and I came down here and saw they had strawberries. I really came because I wanted to get some local honey, but then I found the strawberries and thought, ‘Oh, these are really good.’”

While the Chattanooga Market is held every weekend throughout select seasons, there’s always a special celebration or event you won’t want to miss.
