Chattanooga man accused of holding an entire family at gunpoint
CHATTANOOGA, Tennessee(WDEF) – Hamilton County Sheriff deputies arrested a man accused of holding an entire family at gunpoint.
Courtney Woodruff, 39, is facing three counts of robbery, burglary and assault.
According to the arrest affidavit, he held a family at gunpoint while robbing them.
The incident happened back in August in the 4900 block of Pattentown Road but Woodruff was taken into custody on Thursday.
A victim told investigators, Woodruff gave her a ride home. But when they arrived, she said he demanded gas money and even started beating on the front door.
At one point, Woodruff reportedly kicked in the front door and held an entire family including a 10-year old at gunpoint.
According to the affidavit, Woodruff took cell phones, an Xbox and a purse then left the scene.
His bond was set at $40,0000.
