39-year-old male injured following shooting on Grove Street

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. — A 39-year-old male is suffering non-fatal injuries following a shooting near the 1200 block of Grove Street.

On May 11, 2026, at 5:59 p.m., Chattanooga Police officers were dispatched to a person shot in the 1200 block of Grove Street.

Upon arrival, Hamilton County EMS transported the victim to a local hospital for treatment.

During the preliminary investigation, the victim stated that he heard a gunshot and then noticed he had been shot, according to Chattanooga Police.

The unidentified shooter fled and has not been located.

CPD Homicide and Crime Scene responded to investigate and secure the scene.
