Ironman prompts roadway changes

The Ironman is returning to Chattanooga this weekend.
During the race on Sunday many roadways will be closed or altered.
The main closure comes on Riverfront Parkway. It will be closed from Molly Lane to Aquarium Way starting Wednesday at 9 a.m. until Monday at 5 a.m.
Riverfront Parkway will also be down to one lane from Molly Way to Market Street on Sunday. It will reopen at 1 p.m.
Other roadways that will be closed on Sunday are West 20th Street. The eastbound lane will be closed from Riverfront Parkway to Market Street.
The crossing of 20th street on Broad Street will be closed, and one should expect delays at the crossing on Market Street.
Another place to watch for delays will be St. Elmo Avenue and Highway 193.
Those roadways will not be closed, and cyclists will be sharing the roadway with vehicles.
Veterans Bridge will also have one lane closed for runners lasting till 5pm.
