General Services Administration has released the first renderings of the new courthouse design

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (WDEF) – According to the Times Free Press (TFP), the General Services Administration has released the first renderings of the new courthouse design.

According to the TFP, the new structure will take up about 200,000 square feet and will follow an executive order from President Donald Trump ordering the federal government to use inspiration mirroring ancient Greek architecture.

The paper reports that the structure will include, “…seven courtrooms, nine judges’ chambers, and 40 interior parking spaces.”

The federal government first put down $4.95 million.

Congressman Chuck Fleischmann was said to have secured more than $280 million for the project.

This courthouse will be constructed at the corner of Georgia and Vine Street.
