Chattanooga Christian School vs. Signal Mountain High School

Signal Mountain, TN (WDEF) – Moving to Chattanooga Christian School and taking on Signal Mountain the Chargers really got going early in this one.

Quarterback Matthew Mercer finding his big target Nick Fulmer, who bulldozes one guy on the way to a nice pick up.

Same drive, Mercer hooks up with running back TJ Smith, who finds his way to the sideline and in a flash makes his way to the end zone to score the game’s first touchdown in the first quarter.

More CCS Mercer, this time looking deep and finding Brandon Mason all alone as he trots into the end zone for another Charger touchdown.

The chargers really put on a clinic early in this one with everything working they run the option, and Justin Wheeler takes the pitch, finds some space and rolls for a big gain.

That drive stalled at the end, leading to a field goal that put them up 17 nothing with just a few ticks left in the second quarter

The second half was a lot more competitive, but CCS used that early charge to go on to win 24 to 7.
